How LoreMynd collects, uses, and protects information when you read, subscribe, or get in touch.

Section 01

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how LoreMynd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit loremynd.com, subscribe to our newsletter, contact us, or otherwise interact with the site.

LoreMynd is an independent publication focused on technology and self growth. We collect as little personal information as we need to run the site, send the newsletter, and respond to you — and we do not sell your personal information.

Section 02

Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Information you provide

  • Newsletter: your email address when you subscribe.
  • Contact form: your name, email address, subject, and message.
  • Contributor pitches: your email address, pitch, bio, and any writing samples you send to our editors (including writers@loremynd.com and pitch@loremynd.com).

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data such as browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP address.
  • Cookies and similar technologies used for analytics and to understand how the site is used. See Cookies and analytics below.

We do not require an account to read articles. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or government ID data).

Section 03

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Send the newsletter and related editorial updates you signed up for.
  • Respond to questions, pitches, partnership enquiries, and support requests.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the website and our publishing workflow.
  • Understand which articles and topics are useful, using aggregated analytics.
  • Protect the site, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information to serve display ads on this site, and we do not sell personal information. If we ever offer newsletter sponsorships, they are editorial placements — not ads targeted using your personal data.

Section 04

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Tag Manager on loremynd.com. Tag Manager may load measurement tools such as Google Analytics, which set cookies and collect usage data so we can see aggregated traffic and how people move through the site.

These tools may collect identifiers such as a cookie ID, truncated IP address, device information, and pages visited. Google’s use of this data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking analytics cookies will not stop you from reading the site; it may limit the usage data we receive. You can also use Google’s analytics opt-out tools where available.

Section 05

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run LoreMynd:

  • Service providers that host the site, deliver content and images, send email, and provide analytics — currently including our CMS and image CDN (Sanity), Google (Tag Manager / Analytics), and our hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • Professional advisors or authorities if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, sale, or similar transaction — in which case we would take reasonable steps to keep your information protected.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.

Section 06

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe, or we close the list.
  • Contact and pitch messages for as long as reasonably needed to respond, keep a record of the conversation, and run the publication.
  • Analytics data according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.

When we no longer need the information, we delete or anonymise it, unless a longer period is required by law.

Section 07

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

You can also:

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any edition, or by contacting us.
  • Ask us to delete your contact or pitch correspondence.
  • Control cookies in your browser, as described above.

To make a request, use our contact form and mention that it is a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Section 08

International visitors

LoreMynd is operated from the United States (remote-first, based in San Francisco). If you visit from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. Those places may have different data-protection laws than your home country.

Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards and on your consent, our legitimate interests in running a public publication, or the need to respond to a request you made.

Section 09

Children’s privacy

LoreMynd is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Section 10

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. If a change is material, we will take additional steps to notify you, such as a note on the site or in the newsletter. Continued use of the site after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.

Section 11

Contact us

If you have questions about this policy or about how LoreMynd handles personal information, get in touch through our contact page. We read every message personally and aim to respond within a few business days.
